Catholic School Council Update

I would like to thank everyone for participating in this year’s CSC Nomination Process. As per our Catholic School Council Constitution, the Voting Parent Representatives have been selected for this 2020-21 school year. Greetings Parents/Guardians,

The Food Drive and Bundle Up Collection for the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul will be taking place on October 24/25, 2020 at St. Patrick’s Parish.  Drop off any perishable food items (i.e. potatoes, carrots, onions, apples) and non-perishable food items, and bring your gently used clothing, shoes, and linens (all seasons) to be given to those in need on ... Terry Fox Tradition Continues

AST will be having its annual Terry Fox School Run on Thursday, October 1st, 2020. Classes will be running in their cohorts (similar to recess) throughout the morning to ensure physical distancing protocols are maintained. Every Child Matters; Orange Shirt Day

AST will be marking Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday September 30th. On this day, we recognize Canada’s indigenous people, children, and families, impacted by Canada’s Indian Residential Schools. As Catholics, we often focus on reconciliation; this day marks our commitment to acknowledging that these wrongs should never happen to anyone again. We are asking staff and students to wear something orange on Wednesday.

Wear Purple for Rowan’s Law Day

On Tuesday, September 29th, students, staff, parents/guardians are invited to wear a purple shirt to help raise awareness on the impact of concussions and head injuries. We will recognize Rowan’s Law Day by educating and engaging in activities that increase awareness about concussions and share Rowan Stringer’s story.
