As we approach the end of another wonderful school year, we are filled with excitement and pride as we prepare to celebrate the Graduating Class of 2024–2025! In honour of our Grade 8 students and all they have accomplished, we are launching a special initiative this June called “Grad-itude” Week — a fun and spirit-filled way for our school community to come together in celebration.
To kick things off, our traditional Civvies Day will be extended into a Spirit Civvies Week during the last week of May. Each day will feature a unique theme and opportunity for students to show their school spirit and appreciation for our Grade 8s. The week will culminate on Thursday in a lively “Get Up and Glow” Spring Fling Dance, hosted by our Grade 8 students which will be sure to be a highlight of the season for all of our All Stars.
- Monday, May 26 – “All That Glitters”
– Wear sparkles, gold, silver, or anything that shines. Let’s celebrate our shining stars — the Class of 2025! - Tuesday, May 27 – “Future Me Day” – Dress as your future self — a career you dream of or just what you imagine for your future. It’s all about aspirations!
- Wednesday, May 28 – “Wayback Wednesday” – Dress up as your Mom or Dad or special family member when they were in school! Let your creativity shine!
- Thursday, May 29 – “Get Up and Glow” – It’s Neon Spring Fling Dance day! Wear your brightest colours so you will glow the brightest in the gym!
- Friday, May 30 – “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” – Grade 8s are off to Toronto! Everyone else can wear travel gear or shirts from places they’ve been.. Let’s send our grads off in style!
As part of this initiative, we will be accepting donations of $10 per student, which includes a bag of popcorn and full participation in all the themed events, and our Spring Fling Dance. Your generous support will help offset some of the increasing costs associated with the Grade 8 year-end graduation celebrations.
