As we prepare to celebrate Catholic Education Week from May 5th–10th, we are reminded of the special role Catholic education plays in shaping our hearts, minds, and communities. This year’s theme, “We Are Pilgrims of Hope,” invites us to journey together in faith, rooted in love, justice, and service, as we accompany our students on their path of learning and discipleship. You would have recently received a letter outlining the week’s schedule and focus. Here is an inbox refresher: 2025 AST Catholic Education Week – Parent_Guardian Letter .pdf
Living Rosary – Monday
Led by our Junior Division, every student will have a voice as we begin the month of May, which is dedicated to Our Blessed Mother Mary. This prayerful gathering will bring our school together in reflection and unity. AST Living Rosary – May 5th .jpg
Catholic Education Week Mass – Tuesday
We invite all families to attend our Catholic Education Week Mass, which has been thoughtfully rescheduled and now aligns beautifully with our Easter celebrations. As Easter people and pilgrims of hope, we come together in thanksgiving. The Mass will feature our Grade 1 and 2 students along with the primary choir. All are invited to attend. Tune It Up Tuesday – Primary Music Performance
We are incredibly proud of our Kindergarten to Grade 3 students, who have been working with Ms. Fonseca on a special musical presentation titled “Music from Around the World.” The performance will take place immediately following our Catholic Education Week Mass and will consist of one powerful performance from each class. All are welcome to attend. Tune It Up Tuesday Flyer.pdf
North of 60 Drive – Week of May 5th
Throughout the week, we will also be participating in the North of 60 Drive, a charitable initiative supporting northern Indigenous communities. See the attached flyer for more information on how you can support our Luke 4.18 initiative. North of 60 Food Drive.pdf
We look forward to celebrating this joyful and hope-filled week with our students, staff, and you, our dedicated parent community. Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support.
