Shrove Tuesday (or Pancake Tuesday) is the day before the start of Lent, a period of fasting and reflection in the Christian faith. Pancakes were traditionally eaten on this day as a way to use up rich ingredients such as sugar, butter, and eggs that were forbidden during Lent. Pancake Tuesday has become a fun and enjoyable tradition at All Saints CES.
Thanks to the dedication of our Catholic School Council and our parent volunteers, we are thrilled to be able to share this experience with all of our All Stars on the morning of Tuesday, February 13th. We feel blessed that the Markham Fire Department will be lending a helping hand on this day. Our students will be served delicious, nut-free, freshly made pancakes, with the option of syrup.
