Each moment of the school day, our dedicated staff goes to great lengths to ensure students are safely accounted for and supervised. However, prior to the school day, and at the conclusion of the school day, it is very easy to see that the East Parking Lot Area can become a very congested and, potentially, unsafe area for our children. Students, sometimes unaccompanied by adults, are weaving between vehicles, instead of accessing walkways, to meet their parents/guardians. Our school buses are experiencing difficulty navigating around parked cars or cars that are simultaneously entering/exiting the parking lot. So, please help us keep all of our children safe by following the steps outlined in the attached flyer. It is a flyer we will be distributing in these hotspots over the next few weeks to help educate and inform. The requests made in this flyer many not always be the most convenient; however, safety takes a village approach. I have every confidence that our AST village will come through.
