Summer Blessings & Thank You

Dearest AST Community,

As we conclude another remarkable school year, I am filled with both gratitude and emotion as I write this message; my final reflection as Principal of All Saints CES. It has been one of the greatest privileges of my career to serve this vibrant, faith-filled, and exemplary community. From the joyful laughter of students in the hallways, to the collaborative spirit of our staff, and the unwavering support of our parents and parish partners, this community has truly lived out our mantra: We are All Stars, and We Shine!

As a Catholic learning community, we are continually blessed by our connection with St. Patrick’s Parish. A heartfelt thank you to Fr. Szymon, Fr. Janil, and the parish team for their spiritual leadership and presence throughout the year. No matter where our paths may lead, St. Patrick’s will always be home to our All Stars.

To our incredible parents and guardians, thank you for entrusting us with your children. Your kind words and sentiments over these past few weeks, in particular, have touched me deeply and reminded me of the strong bonds that make our community so special. It truly takes a village to raise a child, and this village continues to do so with heart, faith, and unwavering care. I would also like to extend special thanks to our Catholic School Trustee Carol Cotton and Superintendent Anna Iafrate for their steadfast leadership and commitment to Catholic education.

To our dedicated and passionate staff, your commitment to academic excellence and student well-being has shaped our school into a nurturing and joyful place of learning. What makes All Saints truly special is not just the curriculum you teach, but the care and intention with which you teach the hidden curriculum; those lessons of compassion, resilience, integrity, and inclusion. You model these values daily through your actions, your patience, and your unwavering belief in each child’s potential. Time and time again, you go above and beyond to ensure that every student is seen, supported, and celebrated. Your work leaves a lasting imprint not only on their minds, but also on their hearts. May your summer be filled with rest, joy, and the same sense of care and renewal that you so generously offer others all year long. You have more than earned it.

To our students, you are the heartbeat of our school. Your kindness, energy, and resilience have brought light into our days. Whether in the classroom, on the playground, or in the hallways, the conversations we’ve shared and the moments we’ve experienced together have meant the world to me. You have made me laugh, challenged me to think differently, and reminded me each day why this work matters so deeply. To our Grade 8 graduates, we are proud of you and send you forth with our blessings as you begin your next chapter in secondary school. Thank you for passing the torch to our next generation of leaders; you will be missed. Have a blessed summer!

As we look ahead, we also say goodbye to some valued members of our staff who are moving on to new opportunities. With gratitude, we thank and bid farewell to Ms. Altieri, Mr. Cesselli, Ms. D’Agostini, Ms. Di Nardo, Ms. Fonseca, Ms. Keshishian, and Ms. Snow. Their new schools are blessed to have them and we wish them every success and happiness in the journeys ahead.

For me personally, this message marks the end of a deeply meaningful chapter. While I look forward to the road ahead, All Saints CES will always hold a special place in my heart. I leave with lasting memories of faith, community, laughter, and shared purpose. Thank you for the honour and privilege of being part of your lives. I look forward to visiting at next year’s 25th anniversary!

May this summer be a time of rest, renewal, and joy for our entire school community. May you find peace in the company of loved ones and return in September refreshed and ready to continue your journey of learning and growth. Classes resume on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Keep shining All Stars!

With gratitude and every blessing,

Fabio Nardo
