Every February, people across Canada participate in Black Heritage Month events and festivities that honour the legacy of Black Canadians and their communities. As a Catholic Community, we are called to live in solidarity. This requires that we learn from, and about our brothers and sisters in Christ. We remind ourselves that being the Body of Christ means that we honour each person as a beloved member of our human family.
Throughout the month of February, we feel blessed to be celebrating Black Heritage Month and furthering this important conversation at All Saints CES. We will be celebrating Black excellence through the many achievements and contributions of Black Canadians both past and present, as students learn about different key figures of our history and heritage. Please find attached some key events for this upcoming month. All are more than welcome to attend.
